Garajonay National Park
The largest surviving contiguous laurel forest on earth, a UNESCO World Heritage site that stays wrapped in cloud for much of the year, giving it a genuinely different feel from anywhere else on the Canary coast.
- Good to know
- Free to enter; a car permit is required for the cobbled summer road between mid-July and late September; bring a layer, it runs cooler than the coast
