An absolutely exceptional museum and well worth spending a few hours exploring. The collection includes both modern and classical art and the gardens are simply stunning. The ticket is excellent value: it includes a beautifully produced book about the museum as well as a coffee at one of the hotel's restaurants. For me, however, the highlight was something unexpected. In addition to its impressive art collection, the museum grounds are home to a courtyard full of CHICKENS, with multiple breeds roaming around freely. As someone who loves both visual art and chickens, this place combines two of my favorite things in one visit.

A wonderful museum with a massive, lush garden full of plants and birds walking about the place. The building is a stunning piece of architecture and very well kept overall. On display there’s both traditional and modern art. You can also learn a bit about Balinese traditions and the Ramayana. There’s a nice cafe with books on the premises too. The ticket includes a free coffee or tea. Definitely worth the money.

What a pleasant surprise! We were initially unsure because of the entrance fee and the location being on the grounds of a resort, but we had a great afternoon here. There were 3 buildings housing some incredible art from both Balinese and international artists. The grounds were really nice and we spent a few hours just wandering around, relaxing and admiring the landscape. The water garden was really beautiful. At the end we had a refreshing tea in the cafe.

The Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA) in Ubud is a breathtaking cultural sanctuary. More than just a gallery, it feels like a peaceful village hidden away from the bustling streets of central Ubud. The museum is set within six hectares of lush, verdant gardens. These grounds are meticulously landscaped with traditional Balinese architecture. Winding paths lead you to quiet lotus ponds, trickling fountains, and serene statues of deities, offering perfect spots for reflection. The layout encourages a slow pace, with numerous "pockets" and nooks designed to help visitors disconnect from the outside world and immerse themselves in the surrounding greenery.
