If you are in the least known canary island, you cannot miss this guided food experience. Super ambience, a genuine trip in flavors. 8/11 dishes approved. Beautiful and unique. Book ahead.
Sublime in every way. The chef is passionate about cooking and its history in the Canaries. Each taste is so pure and authentic. Lovely wines to match ( Uwe Urbach). Peak culinary experience with a wonderful and welcoming chef and host. Go
Updste: we managed to ha the long tasting menu, twice, with wine pairing. Thisbis the way to go, it is like a fairytale through flavors and taste, combining in a most balanced way every plate. It's an unique experience of the canarian gastronomy, completely recommended. No doubt, the best gastronomic experience in El Hierro at a very affordable price. The attention to detail, the local product concept, each plate, each dish - such a balance of colors, taste and flavors, styling. Imoressive. Please do not skip the house brad with the goat milk butter, which is the most unique and delicious butter I've ever had. We took the gofio experience, which is indeed an experience of tastes that you can combine in any way and never fail, amazing. We followed with the grilled avocado in femrented sweet potato sauce, raw fish, pork and beef meat. Every single dish was a celebration of fresh products cooked with care to bring the best flavors to it. The pork stood out, was incredibly tender, juicy, and overwhelmingly tasty. All the over dishes were incredible too, but this review would take too long. I have no doubt the entire menu is perfection, and I'm looking forward to try more. The place has a softness, calmness and comfort in it that goes perfectly fine with their concept. Very recommended.
Unbelievable experience!! Chef Marcos is very passionate about the cuisine and wine that is served. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
At 8Aborigen you taste excellent food and learn a bit of the island’s history with it. The tasting menu starts from recent history and takes you back to the aboriginal times. The chef makes excellent use of pure local ingredients with great results. We loved the pumpkin, the corn soup and the tuna, but every dish was a feast for the palate. The ambience and decor are beautiful too. Probably the best restaurant in El Hierro. You must visit if you’re on the island
