Lab 22

Absolutely incredible experience at LAB 22! My girlfriends and I flew all the way from Texas to Cardiff for the Hilary Duff concert, and finding this place was one of the highlights of our trip. Hollie and Lee were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome and genuinely made us feel special from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality, attention to detail, and energy were unmatched. Hollie remembered all our names! You can tell they truly care about creating a great experience for their guests. We had such a wonderful time and felt like we were treated like regulars even though we were visiting from across the pond. We will absolutely be talking about LAB 22 (and Hollie and Lee!) when we’re back home in Texas. If you’re in Cardiff, do yourself a favor and visit LAB 22. Amazing drinks, amazing atmosphere, and even better people. We can’t wait to come back!

Cocktail nerd here, this place is highly recommended! Google knows what I like and surfaced this as a recommendation when staying in Cardiff. It's dog friendly which is AMAZING for somewhere SO involved in their craft. I have nothing but praise for the bar staff I encountered (to my shame I only remember two names but there were 4-5 working on Sunday) Dylan and Sam I remember but the others were also stellar, I'm just sorry I don't recall names. :( The menu was excellent, so interesting with a story and a local partner behind every drink, It was all balanced and super tasty. There's clearly a lot of work and love goes into the creations. The back bar is one of the best I've seen, uncommon spirits and rarer bottles of well known brands. I'm a reasonable distance from home but know I'll be back as it's SO worth the journey. Thanks for a memorable night (and putting up with my mildly inebriated waffling 🤣) I can't wait to return and let you guys loose off menu 😃 but that menu is 👌 Brettus Maximus (And Hobbes 🐶)

Holy smokes. This place is absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere, the drinks, the jazz band… AND THE STAFF!!!! Hollie was the most attentive, cool, amazing server. Ollie was also amazing and fun…. And don’t get me started on LEE! The entrance guy/bouncer. He was so much fun, so kind and welcoming. We absolutely love this place!

What an incredible cocktail bar. Love the Apiculture Club and Raspberry 3.14, also a great dirty martini. Staff are just the nicest, music is great and the whole place has a lovely atmosphere. I can't recommend this place enough.

Lab 22 is a fabulous spot for cocktails with delicious drinks and staff who are clearly passionate about what they do. Each cocktail came with a unique, in-house garnish (orange sherbet, strawberry gummy, etc.) and I loved learning the processes for creating them. My husband and I tried four of the cocktails and will definitely be back to try the rest! This place definitely would have gotten 5 stars from me, but unfortunately I can’t give a perfect review to anywhere that adds a “discretionary” service charge. This practice needs to end immediately, as it feels predatory and like it’s relying on people being too uncomfortable to ask for it to be removed. The service was great so I would have left a gratuity regardless—but that should be my choice.
