Absolutely fantastic dining experience! The restaurant offers an impressive selection of meats, and each cut was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor. What really stood out was the way the meats were paired with sauces and condiments — every combination felt thoughtful and well-balanced, bringing out the best in each dish without overpowering the natural taste of the meat. You can really tell a lot of care goes into the preparation and presentation. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff especially “Sky” were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone who loves quality meats and appreciates great flavor pairings!
We have been here a few times. Nowadays it is our must-go restaurant whenever we visit Taipei. The restaurant is definitely high up in the list of best yakiniku restaurants, not just in Taiwan, but comparable to some of the best yakiniku restaurants in Japan. Service is good, and our server, Stone, cooks the meat perfectly over charcoal! The whole thick cut beef tongue steak is a must-order and is just heavenly! It always feels like going to a friend’s place whenever we come here, as they will always make us feel so at home. And the great food just help to make the experience perfect! We made some local Taiwanese friends over dinner this time too! Please reserve ahead of time!
The service was really great, the food came out quickly, and the waitstaff enthusiastically recommended the specialty dishes. Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience! The only downside was that there were kids screaming and crawling around on the floor, which was a bit startling, but other than that, it was fine.
Dawan Yakiniku|A Benchmark for Premium Beef We came here purely for the quality of the meat, and Dawan absolutely delivered. We tried the top cap, sirloin, Wagyu sushi, chuck flap, hanger steak, and beef tongue—every cut was impressive, each showcasing its own character and texture. The biggest surprise was the beef tongue. It’s thick-cut yet incredibly tender, with a smooth, almost kidney-like suppleness that’s rarely found in other yakiniku restaurants. Truly exceptional. The top cap had beautifully fine marbling and a rich aroma that opened up with each bite. The sirloin was perfectly grilled—juicy, balanced, and never greasy. The Wagyu sushi melted instantly, while the hanger steak and chuck flap offered deeper, more robust beef flavors. Paired with the stunning night view of the city right outside the window, this made for an unforgettable dining experience—perfect for celebrations or simply indulging in top-tier beef. If you, like us, care most about the quality of the meat, Dawan is absolutely worth a visit.
It started with a rather appetising appetizer. The first and second servings were enjoyable, but after that it felt like we were just eating the same thing over and over, which became quite boring. There were three of us dining, and although we weren’t really full after the last serving, none of us felt any urge to continue ordering more
