The location is excellent, the design is bold and modern, and the overall vibe feels energetic without being overwhelming. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, with great views and all the little details you expect from a W property. Service across the hotel was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. The only downside for us was breakfast. While the buffet itself is large and high quality, more than 80% of the hot items were pork-based, which significantly limited our options. It would be great to see more variety with non-pork proteins or clearly expanded alternatives to make breakfast more inclusive. Would I go back NO, would I recommend it, NO.

Stayed here for a week with my family and everything was exceptional. Every staff member we came across was kind, professional, and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was also great with lots of options. Many baked goods, fresh juice, salad bar, omelet station, fresh fruit, and much more. The pool was heated and not crowded. Location is great with lots of shops and restaurants nearby with a metro station very close.

Perfect location for someone who wants to maximize the stay while on tight schedule of business meetings. Luxury rooms with beautiful views, wonderful gym catering to many different workouts and nice bars to hangout after a long day. Breakfast buffet should add more variety and not having waffles and pancakes were a bit of disappointment. Toiletries like toothbrush not included does not sit well with the promise of luxury hotel. The best of all are the staff. For all points of contact and interactions they were amazing. They treat you with warmth, efficient services and always a smile on their faces.

Perfect location for shopping and exploring the city. The room was clean, the service was excellent, and everything met expectations. A wonderful stay with an amazing view of Taipei 101. I would happily return.

Returning to W Taipei for the second time already says quite a lot. Batty is generally not automatically a “W Hotel person.” Some W properties try slightly too hard to be cool while accidentally forgetting that true luxury is usually found in details, calm confidence and competent service rather than loud design and nightclub lighting. W Taipei, however, continues to do many things very well. The location is excellent — directly next to Taipei City Hall MRT station, surrounded by restaurants, shopping and perfectly positioned for exploring the city without spending half your life in traffic. What stood out again were the small details. And luxury hotels ultimately live or die by small details. Ice cubes already prepared in the room. Charging cables carefully wrapped instead of looking like survivors of an electrical accident. A room presentation that feels attentive rather than automated. The team was again genuinely warm and very bemüht throughout the stay. Of course, after spending significant time in Thailand recently, one becomes slightly spoiled when it comes to hospitality. The spectacular in-room greetings or magically available rooms at 10 AM after long-haul flights are difficult benchmarks for almost any city hotel worldwide. Still, W Taipei made a clear effort to prepare the room as early as possible, which was appreciated after arrival. The only area that remained slightly below Batty’s expectations was breakfast. Important clarification: This says more about the absurdly high standard of recent experiences than about W Taipei itself. Within this hotel category, absolutely nothing was missing. Selection, quality and presentation were all perfectly solid. But after too many exceptional breakfasts recently, Batty’s expectations have unfortunately become mildly unrealistic. Overall though, W Taipei remains a very polished, well-managed city hotel with an excellent location, strong attention to detail and a team clearly trying to create a memorable stay rather than just process guests efficiently. And honestly: That still matters more than trendy lobby music. Batty would absolutely return.
