⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I genuinely cannot say enough good things about *Brother Thai* — it has quickly become my absolute obsession. From the moment you walk in, the staff are incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and they go out of their way to make sure you have the best possible experience every single time. And the food… WOW. Every dish is bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and consistently exceptional. You can tell there’s real passion behind what they do — it’s fresh, authentic, and ridiculously moreish. I find myself thinking about it long after I’ve left (which is probably why I keep coming back… again and again!). Honestly, this place has ruined other takeaways/restaurants for me — nothing else quite compares anymore. If you’re even remotely considering trying *Brother Thai*, do it. Just be warned… you’ll be hooked like I am.

First visit to Brother Thai and it absolutely delivered on flavour. We ordered the Pad Krapao Nuea and the Thai fried chicken satay rice bowl, followed by the sticky spicy beef and Thai basil chicken rotis. The Pad Krapao had that classic homely feel — tasty, aromatic and comforting. The fried chicken was crisp on the outside, juicy inside and worked perfectly with the peanut sauce. The rotis were soft and flaky, with generous, well-seasoned fillings. Service was prompt and friendly, with a check-in during the meal to make sure everything was okay — always appreciated. The restaurant has a cosy, dimly lit atmosphere which adds to the vibe, but don’t expect perfect social media lighting. Reservations are absolutely a must — the place was busy and it’s easy to see why. Great food, great experience, and we’ll definitely be back to work through more of the menu.

What a find! I'm told this was originally a street food (van) place, that did so well they opened it in a high street. Nice atmosphere, comfortable seating with very friendly and knowledgeable service. We felt that everyone who works here cares about what they’re doing, prices are also very sensible. The stand out part is the food, oh my goodness, the food! My favourite dish was the sticky beef roti, which was so good I was in raptures, just try it and you’ll understand. I enjoyed it so much I bought another one to take home. They were kind enough to out the bread and filling in separate containers. I can dampen the bread and bake it again, warm up the filling in a pan and combine, yum yum. Three thumbs up from me. :o)

It’s pretty sexy in Brother Thai. I’d been meaning to go there for years. I’d walked in many times but always turned away because it’s so popular. This time I booked. We had a great time. There was a lot of laughing and the food was absolutely delicious. I would have liked a duck dish on the menu, still, it was very tasty. The service was fantastic, the vibe was perfect, and I’ll definitely go again some time soon.

We were greeted by one of the chefs and definitely a credit to the restaurant. The food was amazing, we had never tried Thai food before and this was one of our favourite places that we visited in Cardiff. We need more brother Thai restaurants around the country. It was so good 👍 Even though parking was difficult to find for longer than an hour, we definitely recommend 👌
