Favorite bar in Taiwan ! The vibe, the staff, the drinks and food, menu creativity and design. Everything was on point. I went on a busy Friday night and was lucky enough to walk in and get a spot at the bar. The bartenders Athena and Jack were absolutely rocking it all night. The hostess, manager, I was impressed with the entire staff and even the barback stepped in to make a few drinks and knew her craft as well. Some beautiful and delicious drinks. Drink menu is basically a book, you could spend an hour reading the inspiration behind all the cocktails. Each page has two drinks, one highlighting an "Eastern" ingredient and one highlighting a similar "Western" ingredient. I went to as many of the top bars as I could and my friend and I agreed this was our favorite ! Definitely go

[Late review] Visited in Aug 2025 Dropped by Bar Mood a couple times last year during my visit to Taipei. It is definitely one of the best bars in Taipei with very good cocktails and a nice ambience. The bar is split across two locations, with each location on opposite sides of the street. So, depending on the availability of seats, you will be directed to one of the two locations. I did not have a reservation for both my visits but was able to get a seat after a short wait on both occasions. However, I think it’s best to get a reservation, esp. if you’re visiting on weekends, as the place can get full. Ended up trying 6-7 cocktails across my 2 visits. The mixologists at Bar Mood have done a very good job in crafting a well thought out cocktail menu. Some of the drinks are served in very fancy glasses too. The quality of the drinks is top notch and I enjoyed every drink I ordered. Service was good. All in all, a really good cocktail bar which I would definitely recommend visiting in you’re in Taipei.

Last time when I was in bar mood, my daughter was allowed to be in until 10pm. About half year ago I booked the place and my daughter got rejected by staff saying that due to licensing update kids are not allowed into the restaurant anymore. Since then I did not get a chance to visit the place again until our kids free date night last night so I gave it another go. Ordered grill vegetables and clam pasta which are great. Beef skew was a little too dry for my taste. Picked my three cocktails in Earl grey and Jasmine flavours. The flaming lily at the back of the bar caught my eye I think it matches super well with the bar style. Booking is required as I have seen two parties trying to get a seat but failed. Friendly bartender also have everyone a free shot and it tastes frutity and nice.

Rating only cocktails. Reading reviews and seeing that the bar is/was in Asia'a top 50, I was expecting to be surprised by the cocktails in terms of flavour and combination which would be unexpected and new to me. However, I was a bit disappointed. The cocktails we tried were good, but the flavours were predictable and I didn't feel like there was much novelty. The environment is very loud and talking is difficult. It's packed and seating is close, so definitely not a place for a more laid-back and intimate evening sipping on some drinks. I don't think I will return here as the selection of bars is so large in the area, I rather go here and there to try new bars and new drinks. But if you haven't been here before, I recommend to try at least once.

We didn’t have any reservations as we were just going to get some drinks spontaneously. First waited in the entrance area for a while and very soon we could have the seats at bar area. It’s Sunday night around 22:00 but still the crowds are pretty bubbling. We have a good time there as the drinks are very creative and service is very good. Worthy to try and luckily we got the seats😊
